Tender Tamarind Leaves Rice

How to cook Chintha chiguru Rice – Tender Tamarind Leaves Rice :

Ingredients:

  1. Tender tamarind leaves - 1 Cup

  2. Dry Red chillies – 8

  3. Chopped green chillies – 4 slit

  4. Pea Nuts - 1 tablespoon

  5. Chana Dal – 1 teaspoon

  6. Urad Dal - 1 teaspoon

  7. Cumin Seeds Powder -1 teaspoon

  8. Mustard Seeds – 1 teaspoon

  9. Oil - 1/4 cup

  10. Salt tot taste ( 1 and 1/2 teaspoon )

  11. Curry leaves – 3 sprigs

  12. Cooked Rice - 2 Cups​

Method:

1. Wash the tender tamarind leaves with hot water for 2 minutes and keep aside.

2. Add into a mix jar, pour little bit of water, close the lid, grind well till it becomes thick paste and keep aside.

3. Place a pan on the flame and add oil and heat it.

4. Add Mustard seeds, pea nuts, chana dal, urad dal and fry for till they becomes light golden color.

5. Add chopped green chillies, dry red chillies, curry leaves and fry well.

6. Now add tender tamarind leaves paste, rosted cumin seeds powder, and mix well.

7. saute for 2 minutes, keep stirring between.

8. Add Salt tot taste ( 1 and 1/2 teaspoon ) and stir well.

9. Add cooked rice and mix well and switch off the flame.

10.Tender tamarind leaves rice is ready , take out into serving plate and serve hot….
