Medu Vada

:: Medu Vada Recipe ::

Ingredients:

  1. Urad dal - 2 cups (socked over night)

  2. Curry leaves - 3 sprigs

  3. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup (Chopped)

  4. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon

  5. Dry coconut pieces – 2 teaspoons

  6. Green chillies  - 2 teaspoons (Finally chopped)

  7. Pinch of Baking Soda

  8. Salt to taste

  9. Oil for deep fry

Uthappam

Method:

  1. Take a mix jar, add soacked urad dal, close the lid and grind well.  Add 1/4 th cup of water, close the lid and grind well once again, take out into a bow.

  2. Add Dry coconut pieces (chopped), curry leaves, green chilli (chopped), Coriander leaves (chopped), cumin seeds, salt to taste, pinch of baking soda and mix well, keep aside.

  3. Take a pan on the flame, add oil for deep fry and heat it.

  4. Test the batter should correct or not, take a little batter and drop into the water, when the batter should come up then the batter should correct.

  5. Wet your hand and take a portion of mixer,  place on a polythene cover, flatten it lightly and make a hole in the centre, drop in the hot oil, make all vadas as same method.

  6. Deep fry all the vadas till both side they become golden brown color.

  7. Take out into a serving plate.

  8. Serve hot with peanut chutney or fresh coconut chutney.

Idly batter uthappam recipe | Tiranga uthappam recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Idli batter  – 1 Cup

  2. Oil  - 3 Spoons

  3. Red Chilli Powder - 1 T spoon

  4. Garam Masala – 1 pinch

  5. Chopped Coriander Leaves – ¼ Cup

  6. Chopped Onion – 1

  7. Grated Carrot – ¼ Cup

Anchor 1

Method:

1. Place a pan on the flame and add 2 tea spoon of oil and heat it, Pour 1 Spoon of idli batter in the hot oil and spread the batter round shape with the help of the spoon and fry well for 2 minutes and now  sprinkle the grated carrot, chopped onions and chopped coriander leaves, now sprinkle the red chilli powder and pinch of garam masala, fry well for 1 minute in the medium flame, Fry another side also for 1 minute, take out in a plate.

2.  Now we are making tiranga uthappam it is very simple, do the all same process, but sprinkle the chopped carrot, onions and coriander leaves tiranga model, now sprinkle the red chilli powder and pinch of garam masala,  now sprinkle little oil and fry well one side only.......Idly batter uthappam/ Tiranga uthappam  is Ready......... serve hot.
